I'm going to do it right this time

Hi, I'm Sarah. I've been overweight since I was 9 years old and it seems like I've always been on a diet. Since I graduated college in Dec 2010, I've been on the path to change my lifestyle instead.

I'm 26, from Detroit, and trying to figure my life out after college.

My personal blog:

Height: 5'5''
HW: 192lbs (87.3kg)
LW: 149lbs (67.7kg)
SW: 186lbs (84.5kg)
CW: 162lbs (73.6kg)

GW1: 175lbs (79.5kg) (DONE!)
GW2: 170lbs (77.3kg) (DONE!)
GW3: 165lbs (75kg) (DONE!)
GW4: 160lbs (72.7kg)
GW5: 155lbs (70.5kg)
GW6: 150lbs (68.2kg)
GW7: 145lbs (65.9kg)
GW8: 140lbs (63.6kg)
UGW: 135lbs (61.4kg)

After 135lbs I'll see how I feel and gauge from there.
How do I find time to exercise when I work two jobs and have a 2-year-old daughter at home? It seems so hard to squeeze a workout in! When I get home from work I'm exhausted and I rarely have a day off & when I do I want to spend it with my daughter. Any advice? (BTW I'm from Grand Rapids. Do you still live in Detroit?)

Hi neighbor! Yes I’m in Detroit still. PS I love Grand Rapids. Founders is the shit. I was out that way a lot while I was going to WMU.

To answer your question, there’s ALWAYS time for a workout. I can totally relate with the busy work schedule and just wanting to go home and be lazy, and then to throw a kid into the mix makes that initial feeling even more so especially because you want that time with her too. But bottom line, it has to be a priority and when it truly is, you will make that time. Even if you can’t make it to the gym there’s a lot you can do at home. Free weights or those velcro ones you put on your wrists or ankles aren’t expensive and are super effective. I saw a pic posted on here that’s a TV commercial workout which tells you what exercise to do based on the type of commercial (I think I reblogged it). But anywho, there’s lots of ways around not making it to the gym but that’s only if you truly can’t. If you can go, go! If anything, look at it as time you intentionally set aside for yourself. With your busy schedule, you need some you time. Plus you will never regret squeezing a workout in. Hope this helps! Good luck to you and your little girl <3
